The Kinks star introduced Borrell to the audience before they played a version of Davies' hit 'Sunny Afternoon'.
Davies told the audience: "I would like to introduce someone to you. Johnny Borrell from Razorlight, give this kid a round of applause.
"I used to complain about him when he was a kid in school."
The veteran rocker also collaborated with the Crouch End Festival Choir as he performed a greatest hits set at the Camden Roundhouse.
Davies was the closing act for this year's Electric Proms, which also featured performances from Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs, Paul McCartney and Mark Ronson.
