Gorillaz to release documentary

Gorillaz are to release a documentary showing behind-the-scenes footage of the band.

Bananaz will reveal how Blur frontman Daman Albarn and animator Jamie Hewlett organise the cartoon group.

The film is being produced by long-time friend Ceri Levy, who worked on Blur's 1994 documentary Starshaped.

Albarn revealed in April that he will not be making any more studio albums under the guise of the Gorillaz.

However, the band will release D-Sides, a collection of B-sides, early demos and previously unreleased tracks, on November 20.
