Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty are reportedly planning to perform a duet at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Munich tonight.
The singers, who have both been battling drug problems recently, have been practising in preparation for such an event.
A source said: "'Amy and Pete are going to get together and see if they can work out a duet and get it on the schedule.'
"The organisers wanted to add a bit of danger to what is the squeaky-clean boyband of award shows. They've certainly done that. They have been jamming for ages with the plan to perform together. This would be a pretty high-profile place to do it."
Winehouse is up for three awards at the show, including Best UK Act and Best Album for Back to Black.
Meanwhile Justin Timberlake, Avril Lavigne, Christina Aguilera, Mika, Rihanna and Nelly Furtado will be battling it out for Best Solo Artist at the event.
