Gallagher shuns free album plans

Oasis

Liam Gallagher has claimed that Oasis would only release their next album for free over his "dead body".

The singer told Reuters that he would never consider following in Radiohead's footsteps and allow fans to pay what they like for his music.

Gallagher reportedly responded with a string of expletives to the suggestion that Oasis may copy the Oxford rockers' recent release tactics.

Oasis are currently recording their seventh studio album, the follow-up to 2005's Don't Believe The Truth.

The frontman claimed that the band has been inspired by the classic seventh albums of the Beatles (Revolver) and The Rolling Stones (Beggars Banquet).

He said: "There's lots of cool parts, man. Really, we're throwing everything at it. It's gonna be cool, man."
