Jason Orange believes they would be the best band around to kick off the ceremony.
He told the Daily Star: "We’ve got to do the Brits, haven’t we? We’d show that pop is back and do 'Shine', with all the glitz and glamour from the video.
"That’s our new 'Back For Good' and it’d be perfect for the Brits."
Gary Barlow added that the pop group are planning to begin work on the follow-up to Beautiful World in the New Year.
He said: "We’ll start writing another album after Christmas and all that is out of the way.
"Of course we’re going to do a follow-up to Beautiful World - we’d be mad not to."
