The 'Last Request' singer cited the success of The View, KT Tunstall and himself as evidence that Scottish musicians are taking the world by storm.
"This year Scotland's been so positive, look at the charts and the compilation CDs which all have bands like The View, The Fratellis, KT Tunstall and myself on there," Paolo told the Daily Record.
"There are so many Scottish-born bands that are coming to the forefront. People are talking about them all over the world. It's exciting. With the recognition comes investment and an enhanced reputation."
"As long as the vibe is good, you can be successful but you have to be nice," he continued. "Whenever I bump into bands like The View, Biffy Clyro or Amy Macdonald, it's all good vibes. It makes it feel like a community and part of something exciting."
