Dirty Pretty Things have cancelled their supporting slot with The Pogues later this month so that they can concentrate on working on their new album in America instead.
The band were due to perform in Nottingham on December 14 but were forced to drop out because they are at a "very crucial stage" in their recording sessions in Los Angeles.
A statement from the group said: "The band are very disappointed as they were looking forward to returning to the UK and playing this gig very much and apologise to those of you who have purchased tickets for this cancellation.
"However, the album sessions must take priority and regrettably, there was no other option."
Dirty Pretty Things' next album is due for release next year.
