Halliwell departed the girl group nine years ago, before they had played a large US tour.
Speaking onstage at one of their reunion concerts, the singer said sorry for walking out on the band, and her fans.
She said: "I would like to say a big sorry to all the fans... especially those in America.
"I walked out on you as well as the girls. You never got to see us as a five-piece...this is my opportunity to make it up to everyone. Thanks for the second chance."
Mel B added: "All is forgiven, the five of us are back and ready to rock your world."
