Kanye West to rap about WAGs on new song

Estelle has revealed that Kanye West has written a song about wives and girlfriends (WAGs) for her forthcoming single.

The London artist, who recently toured with West, claimed that he would rap the lyrics on single 'American Boy' from her next album Shine.

Estelle revealed that West came up with the idea to sing about the subject, telling the Daily Star: "We were in the studio when Kanye started rapping about Ribena, his favourite drink, and WAGs. I said to him 'Do you even know what a WAG is?' And he said: 'Yeah. She’s a gold digger'."

She described the sound of the WAGs single, saying: "The track is more of a dance song than hip-hop or R'n'B. It sounds like Moloko or Jamiroquai. I love working with Kanye. He’s a musical genius."
