Sir Cliff: 'I wanted to be Elvis'

The veteran singer was so star-struck by his idol that he hoped he would wake up to find that Presley had taken over his soul.
Despite enjoying a career spanning six decades, Sir Cliff said he is still in awe of the King, who died in 1977 at the age of 42.
He told the Daily Express: "I didn't just want to be like Elvis - I wanted to be him. I'd like to have woken up and found that really he was me.
"That's the kind of fervour I felt about the power of his music."
