Bassist Nicky Wire said the band would love to "do something" with the pop princess, adding: "It just feels like a fantastic opportunity actually."
Talking about the post-awards gig, he said the group did not want to "bore anyone with album tracks or anything".
He cited Queen's performance at Live Aid as their inspiration, saying: "We want to play our history and make it as entertaining and exciting as possible."
Wire also said he would like to sing with Kasabian's Tom Meighan and The Enemy's Tom Clarke at the gig, which will also feature Bloc Party, the Kaiser Chiefs and The Klaxons.
He continued: "We've got loads of ideas, there's loads of people we really like, whether they want to I dunno."
The Manics receive the Godlike Genius Award at the ceremony on February 28 at Indig02.
