Ryder-Jones, who briefly left the group during the recording of their third LP The Invisible Invasion, has now permanently split from the indie outfit.
In a statement on the band's MySpace, the group said: "The Coral would like to announce that Bill Ryder-Jones has left the band.
"The Coral will carry on as a 5-piece and are writing and recording new material and releasing 'Put The Sun Back' on 11th Feb."
'Put The Sun Back' will be The Coral's third single from their Roots And Echoes album.
