Dave Grohl has admitted that he didn't think the Foo Fighters would last longer than a "few" albums.
The rocker has revealed that when he started the group, he believed they would have to split up when he decided to settle down and have kids.
He told the Associated Press: "I really always thought there was going to be this clear line that the band would end and I would start doing all the things that I wanted to do, like have children or stay at home and be a father, but I'm starting to realise that they can co-exist."
Talking about the effects of his becoming a father, he added: "I used to be able to say there's nothing I'd rather do than [play], but finally there's something I'd rather be doing."
Foo Fighters released their sixth studio album Echoes, Silence, Patience, Grace last year.
