Kooks are "paranoid" about new album
The Kooks singer Luke Pritchard has claimed that the band are "paranoid" about the release of their new album.

Pritchard said that he is worried the band's new material will get booed when they play live, despite the success of their debut Inside In/Inside Out.

He told the Daily Star: “You do worry with new material in case you get booed off.

“We love the new stuff and really buzz off playing it, but there’s always the worry that other people may not get it or like it.”

The frontman also revealed that he is concerned what other bands think about him, because he is often accused of "slagging" other bands off in the press.

He added: "I am a totally anxious person. If I meet someone from a band, I think: ‘Oh God, does he think I’m a knob?’

"Some bands are very paranoid and have a preconceived idea about you. We all get accused of slagging each other off so everyone’s dubious of one another.

"In another situation you might be best mates but instead you’re just edgy around them."

The Kooks new album Konk is released in April.
