Pretty. Odd., the follow up to 2005's two million-selling debut disc A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, will be released on March 25.
Helmed by Rob Mathes, a producer/arranger who has worked with Rod Stewart and Carly Simon, the album was recorded in Las Vegas, with additional production and mixing taking place at London's famed Abbey Road studios.
The album will be preceded by new single 'Nine In The Afternoon', which is to be released digitally on January 29.
Guitarist Ryan Ross promised that Pretty. Odd. will be a more melodic album that their debut, telling Alternative Press: "We've grown up a lot in these past few years and the different types of music we've been into will show through.
"We want to focus on the melody and what's happening in the song rather than throwing a lot of distortion over everything."
