Pete Doherty denies Babyshambles split

Pete Doherty has assured fans that he has no plans to leave Babyshambles, despite recording his first solo album.

The singer insisted that the as-yet-unnamed LP, which he is expected to complete later this year, will not affect his work with the band.

He said: "It doesn't conflict with Babyshambles at all. It's just a continuation of what I do.

"I've always done solo recording but instead of just knocking it out on the internet like I used to, I'm getting a little album together."

The 28-year-old is believed to be dating the 'new Kate Moss', model Portia Freeman.
