Sony BMG denies 'dumping' Lennox

Yesterday The Daily Mirror quoted Lennox as saying that the label had dropped her from its roster after failing to "pick up [her] phone calls or emails" for three weeks.
However, Sony BMG insisted that the quotes relate to Lennox's promotional trip to South Africa in December "and have no relevance to the expiry of her contract".
Lennox wrote on her blog: "An article has been published... stating that I'd been 'dumped' by Sony BMG. As you know, this is completely untrue. My recording contract with the company has simply expired."
Meanwhile, Ged Doherty, Sony BMG's UK chairman, revealed that the label is aiming to resign Lennox. "We are immensely proud to have worked with Annie over more than two decades," he said. "She now has a choice as to whether she wants to continue to work with us in the future. We very much hope that she will."
