Zutons are "buzzing off" USA on new LP

The band are currently working in Sunset Sound Studios on the follow-up to 2006's Tired Of Hanging Around, and McCabe claimed writing away from their native Liverpool has been productive for the band.
McCabe said: "At first I was a bit scared at the thought of going to LA to make this album because we've never been away to record before.
"Since we've got here it's been sound though. We've been buzzing off the Americans, it's taken our heads to a different place and it's brought us closer together. Sometimes you have to go a million miles away or get on a plane for ten hours to get closer together."
On the subject of working with producer George Drakoulias, he added: "George is funny as f***, he's like a walking jukebox and he's getting a good vibe in the room.
"It definitely feels different with an American producer than what we're used to and I think that's a good thing for us now."
The Zutons have been announced as one of the acts playing this year's Isle of Wight Festival in June.
