"Upbeat" Britney prepares a new routine

Britney Spears visited a North Hollywood dance studio yesterday to prepare a new dance routine.

The troubled singer headed to the Millennium Dance Complex and worked on steps for a song which features on her latest album, Blackout.

"She is working on the choreography for her song 'Hot as Ice,'" studio owner Robert Baker told People.com. "She rehearsed an amazing routine with a chair."

"Britney was in an upbeat mood," he added. "I let her use my personal copy of Blackout. She forgot her own CD."

Spears' latest track 'Piece Of Me' is currently at number three in the UK singles chart.
