Writers won't picket Grammy Awards

The Writers Guild of America has confirmed that it will not picket next month's Grammy Awards.
Recording Academy President Neil Portnow has said the show will proceed regardless of the strike, but picketing may have significantly reduced the number of acts willing to appear.
The WGA has indicated that it will not grant a waiver for union members to write for the prestigious ceremony, which takes place in Los Angeles on February 10.
However, it would not be affected to the same extent as other events as it largely consists of musical performances rather than scripted speeches.
The Golden Globes ceremony was replaced with a half-hour press conference earlier this month after many nominees refused to cross the WGA picket line.
Beyoncé and Foo Fighters previously said they will attend the Grammys despite the strike, although Justin Timberlake, Jon Bon Jovi and 50 Cent reportedly agreed to stay away.
