The Smiths star stopped performing after just three songs during a gig at the London Roundhouse in Camden on Friday because he felt ill.
Comedians Russell Brand, Jonathan Ross and David Walliams were on hand to announce that Morrissey was ill and took to the stage to entertain the audience.
Morrissey was scheduled to perform a six-date residency at the Roundhouse but he has cancelled his shows on Saturday and Sunday.
No dates have been given yet for the rearranged concerts but fans have been told to keep hold of their ticket stubs to allow them into a gig at a later date.
The musician is expected to pick up his tour in Doncaster on Wednesday.
