Neil Diamond has been confirmed to perform at this year's Glastonbury Festival, say reports.

The American singer will fill the traditional 'golden oldie' slot at the summer bash.

Diamond, who had UK hits with 'Sweet Caroline', 'I Am...I Said' and 'Cracklin' Rosie' in the '60s and '70s, will play at 5pm on Sunday, June 29, according to eFestivals.

His last studio album, the Rick Rubin-produced 12 Songs, was released in 2005.

Other acts expected to play this year's event include British Sea Power, Kanye West, Solomon Burke, Leonard Cohen, Duffy and The Courteeners.

Glastonbury takes place on June 27-29. Tickets go on sale on April 6.

All ticket-buyers must pre-register with the festival before the middle of March.
