Spice Girls cut reunion tour short

Despite promising global gigs when they revealed their tour plans in June last year, the girls have now cancelled planned concerts in Australia, China, South Africa and Argentina. The last gig will now take place on February 26 in Toronto.
In a statement, the group explained: "Really sorry if we didn't get to see you this time round. We all have other commitments in our lives. But who knows what will happen? We've had an amazing time."
One report suggests that Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell wanted to complete the tour, but Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm said that they did not want to continue.
An insider told The Mirror: "Mel B wasn't having any of it. She misses her husband and children and said she couldn't go on. She's also been flooded with US offers after her success on Dancing with the Stars.
"Mel C agreed it was time to call it off. She was the least excited about the tour. She also feared it might jeopardise her solo career. The others wanted to go on, but couldn't persuade the Mels. Without them, there was no point."
