The singer was unable to attend the ceremony in LA because she was denied a visa by US authorities last week.
However, Winehouse still ended up managing to perform renditions of her hits 'You Know I'm No Good' and 'Rehab' for the live show via a satellite link-up from the UK.
Following her success Winehouse told a small audience at London's Riverside Studios that she was shocked with her victories.
She said: "I can't believe I've won five awards. It's a shame I couldn't be there to accept the awards but I'm so proud and happy that I had the opportunity to perform for the Grammys in my hometown of London with my family and friends around me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
