The band will hold a concert on March 24 at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the 60th birthday celebrations for the Institute of Contemporary Arts. Support will come from Robyn Hitchcock, Foals and The Duke Spirit.
The band's new album Accelerate, their fourteenth studio LP, follows a week later on March 31.
The tour will move on to Amsterdam on July 2 before finishing in Helsinki on September 9. However, further UK arena dates are expected to be announced soon.
The band surprised fans in Oxford last month by taking to the stage with headliner Robyn Hitchcock for a one-off gig.
Tickets for the Albert Hall show will go on sale on Friday, February 15.
