The awards, which take place at IndigO2 on February 28, will include performances from Klaxons, Gallows, Lethal Bizzle, Manic Street Preachers and Light Speed Champion.
Manic Street Preachers, who are being given NME's prestigious Godlike Genius accolade at the event, will close the ceremony with extra special guests joining them onstage.
Gavin & Stacey star Horne claimed he was looking forward to the show despite the awards' 'notorious' reputation.
He said: "The NME awards are notorious for bad behaviour but I’m hoping the audience will be kind to us.
"I’m a massive music fan and can’t wait to stand up in front of an audience packed full with so many great bands"
E4 will broadcast the ceremony live, while Channel 4 will show the event on February 29. Backstage coverage and performances from the NME Big Gig in the O2 Arena will be shown on T4 and Channel 4 over the following weekend.
