Indie pop band Death Cab For Cutie have announced a release date and tracklist for their fifth studio album Narrow Stairs, says Billboard.
The album, a follow-up to the band's breakthrough LP Plans, will be released on May 13 and feature 11 tracks, including the nine-minute 'Bixby Canyon Bridge' and the rocky 'No Sunlight'.
Guitarist Chris Walla describes Stairs as "really weird. It's really, really good, I think, but it's totally a curve ball, and I think it's gonna be a really polarizing record. But I'm really excited about it. It's really got some teeth."
The band's songs have appeared on several films and television shows including Wedding Crashers, The OC and Californication.
Lead singer Ben Gibbard recently collaborated with Steve Fisk on the score for Kurt Cobain film About a Son.
