Fatboy confirms official Glasto slot

Fatboy Slim has confirmed he will be playing an official slot at this year's Glastonbury.

The DJ, real name Norman Cook, performed several surprise gigs at last year's event, but he has claimed he will be on one of the main stages this time around.

He told the BBC: "I’m doing it again this year in some guise. I think I’m actually official this year. Last year I wasn’t actually on the bill, but I still managed to play three times.

"This year I think I’m officially on the bill on Friday night, but I think I’ve played Glastonbury eleven years running now."

He joins a lineup that includes Kings of Leon, Jay-Z, The Verve, Hot Chip, CSS, Elbow, Neil Diamond and Massive Attack.

Glastonbury Festival 2008 takes place at Worthy Farm, Pilton on June 27-29.

Cook announced this week that he would be one of the four headliners at this year's O2 Wireless Festival.
