Akon gets behind Leona's US campaign

Having worked with the X Factor star on 'Forgive Me', a new song for the US release of her Spirit album, Akon predicted that Lewis won't have "any problems" cracking the lucrative American market.
"I would definitely say she is one of the few artists in a long time I have worked with who has that kind of range," he said. "She's being presented to the United States [at the moment], so that's a lot of pressure, but I don't think she's going to have any problems. She's really a real singer!"
Akon isn't the first star to tip Lewis for US success. Earlier this week American Idol champion Jordin Sparks told DS that Lewis has "what it takes to make it over here".
