The singer has already started to plan the 24-date tour, which is expected to begin in the UK before taking in dates across the world.
Although Lewis' debut album Spirit will be more than two years old by the time she begins the tour, her hectic promotional schedule is thought to have made live dates impossible for at least the next 18 months.
Lewis took part in The X Factor tour in 2007, but these dates will mark her first tour as a headlining artist.
