Green Day release single under alias

'Mother Mary' is currently available as a free download through jingletownrecords.com and will soon be released as a seven-inch single.
Green Day fueled rumours they were Foxboro Hot Tubs last year when they spoke about wanting to make an album in the same style as the mystery band.
The Foxboro Hot Tubs released a mini-album of '60s-style garage rock titled Stop Drop and Roll last year, with many fans believing the vocals sounded similar to Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong.
The punk rockers previously recorded new wave tracks under the name The Network in 2003.
