Sumner says no to New Order reunion

New Order bassist Peter Hook had hoped the band could reform for this Saturday's Versus Cancer charity show in Manchester but a friend of Sumner claimed the singer "wants nothing more to do with Peter".
New Order formed 28 years ago after Hook, Sumner and drummer Stephen Morris vowed to carry on making music after Ian Curtis, the lead singer of their band Joy Division, hanged himself.
The band split last May with Hook laying the blame on Sumner and Morris.
The Joy Division story was told on film last year in Anton Corbijn's Control.
The Versus Cancer gig takes place at Manchester M.E.N Arena this Saturday. The lineup features Happy Mondays, Inspiral Carpets and Fun Lovin' Criminals.
