Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood is selling one of his paintings to raise money for the Royal Academy of Arts.

Wood's painting is a depiction of ballet dancers Carlos Acosta and Darcey Bussell.

Speaking to the BBC, Wood said: "As an artist and art lover, I am devoted to the human form.

"I have had the privilege and excitement of standing in the wings of the Royal Ballet and sketching Britain's premiere ballet dancers.

"The precision of physical movement of these dancers is mesmerising."

Wood's painting is one of more than 30 works to go up for auction at the Royal Academy of Arts.

The Rolling Stones' Shine a Light documentary, directed by Martin Scorsese, recently opened the Berlin Film Festival.

The film is is scheduled for a UK release on April 11.
