Arctic Monkeys were the big winners at this year's NME Awards, scoring victories in the Best British Band, Best Track and Best Video categories. Pete Doherty nabbed himself the Hero of the Year prize while veteran Welsh rockers Manic Street Preachers closed the show after being crowned Godlike Geniuses.
