The rapper, real name Jayceon Terrell Taylor, pleaded not guilty to gun possession, making criminal threats and brandishing the weapon at a Los Angeles "school zone" last September.
Taylor was convicted last month and given jail time, three years probation and 150 hours community service. He handed himself in to an LA correctional facility on Sunday.
The incident took place during a basketball match at Rita Walters Educational Complex when the rapper punched Rodrick Shannon then threatened him with a gun following a heated exchange.
The Game has reportedly been working on a new album, titled LAX, with Dr Dre.
