The Sheffield rockers took home three NME Awards last week for Best Track, Best Video and Best British Band. They also bagged Brit Awards for Best Group and Best Album.
Commenting on their victories, Clarke said: "It just shows The Brits and these other awards shows are spineless. It's disappointing the Arctic Monkeys were given loads of awards.
"They only won so much because the bosses knew it wouldn't offend anyone. These awards have turned into the Arctic Monkeys show. I suppose you can't begrudge them one award.
"They have had one good album and one average one. But they haven't done anything special this year."
Earlier this year Clarke attacked the Arctic Monkeys for having a "dull" second album.
