The album will feature tracks Knightley performs in the film, including 'Blue Tahitian Moon', 'Maybe It's Because I Love You Too Much' and 'Drifting And Dreaming'.
The film, a World War II period drama, stars Knightley as Vera Phillips, a woman who falls in love with Welsh poet Dylan Thomas.
Last year Knightley admitted she struggled with the role.
"I can't really sing," Knightley admitted. "I had to have a few lessons, but once I started doing it, a sound emerged that wasn't too disagreeable."
Suggs, Siouxsie Sioux, Patrick Wolf and Beth Rowley will also contribute to the soundtrack.
The Edge of Love is written by Knightley's mother Sharman Macdonald and directed by John Maybury. Matthew Rhys (Dylan Thomas) and Sienna Miller (Thomas' wife Caitlin MacNamara) co-star in the film.
