The producer, real name Brian Burton, has already started work on the follow-up to Beck's 2006 album The Information.
Burton, one half of Gnarls Barkley, has previously produced for acts such as Sparklehorse, The Rapture, Gorillaz and Martina Topley Bird.
Gnarls Barkley's second album The Odd Couple will be released on April 8.
The video for the group's latest single 'Run' was blocked from airing on MTV due to strobe lighting effects.
