Duffy speaks about decision to go solo

The Welsh singer's decision finally paid off last month when her track 'Mercy' topped the UK singles chart. Her debut album Rockferry is also expected to be confirmed as a chart-topper tomorrow.
"I was collaborating with a lot of people. But every band I got into it was like I had a boyfriend," Duffy told The Sun. "Every producer wanted to marry me or wanted to be in a duet.
"I was always running away from something. So I thought, just sing and stay away from the politics. And then I was discovered."
Friends recently revealed that many of the songs on Duffy's album are inspired by her ex-lover Mark Durston.
