The singer, who launched his career after appearing on Fame Academy in 2002, put his music plans on hold after his girlfriend Charmaine Powell gave birth to a baby girl, Nyiema, six weeks ago.
"I've already recorded about 40 tunes for it, but I want to do another 20 and then choose the best 10," Lemar told Celebs on Sunday. "I'm a very busy dad. I try to spend as much time as possible with Nyiema, but it's not always easy. And every time I see her she's changed."
"Having a daughter is the most beautiful thing that's happened to me in my life," he revealed. "It's made me determined to achieve everything I want to in life."
Lemar's last LP, The Truth About Love, debuted at number three in the UK album chart.
