Art Brut split from record label EMI

The band posted the following statement on their official website: "Dearest Internet, it looks like our much loved adventurers just couldn't work it out with EMI after all. That's right, after staying up well into the night talking it over, they have both decided it best if they see other people. The spark just wasn't there anymore."
The band's label EMI was recently acquired by equity firm Terra Nova and under the new ownership the label has clashed with artists including Coldplay, Robbie Williams and Radiohead.
Art Brut recently criticised the label for releasing the single 'Pump Up The Volume' without telling the band.
