According to The Sun, organisers want Gavin & Stacey duo Mat Horne and James Corden to host the event.
Horne and Corden fronted this year's NME Awards, which were held at the O2 arena's sister venue indigO2.
The Brits have been held at London's Earls Court for the past seven years. However, acts including Prince, Led Zeppelin, the Spice Girls and Take That have all chosen to play the O2 in the last 12 months.
