Festival-goers started a riot on a bridge at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas, reports NME.
The incident happened in the early hours of Friday morning after rock band F***ed Up staged a gig on Lemar Pedestrian Bridge.
Around 1,000 people were thought to have congregated on the bridge to create a mosh pit. Many fans lept from the crowd into the river as the bridge began to buckle under the weight with nearby police unable to do anything to stop them.
Mike Haliechuck, F***ed Up's guitarist, said he feared the bridge was going to collapse.
"I could feel the bridge going up and down - it was crazy. The police couldn’t do anything, so they just had to wait."
Nobody is thought to have been injured in the incident.
