The band, a side-project for White Stripes' Jack White, are ignoring the usual trend of going through months of mastering tracks to bring the album out faster.
A statement from the band said: "We wanted to get this record to fans, the press, radio, etc., all at the exact same time so that no one has an upper hand on anyone else regarding its availability, reception or perception."
The album will be available on CD, vinyl and digital formats through retailers, with the band adding that "some places couldn't move this fast, so they will join in as soon as they can".
The group's official site will carry high-quality 320kb digital files of the album while individual tracks will be available through iTunes and Amazon.
A video for new single 'Salute Your Solution' will debut online to coincide with the album release.
