Bassist Duff McKagan said there were lots of bands competing to support the veteran group, but that Revolver "have it".
He told BBC 6Music: "I understand that we have it, although I imagine there will be plenty of bands prepared to kick and punch us out of the way for the privilege."
McKagan did not reveal specific dates, details or plans for the tour.
The Cult's Ian Astbury made a similar claim last November, saying that his band would be touring with a group that had the letters "L" and "Z" at the beginning of their name.
Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant was rumoured to have turned down a £100 million offer for a full reunion tour. The frontman allegedly didn't want to tarnish the memory of their reformation gig at London's O2 arena last December.
