Singer Gaz Coombes and drummer Danny Goffey performed a short set outside London's Royal Festival Hall at the South Bank at 1pm.
The gig included renditions of their hits 'Lenny', 'Caught By The Fuzz' and new tracks 'Bad Blood' and 'Diamond Hoo Ha Man'. A crowd of around 75 people watched the show.
Money raised from the gig will go towards the Crisis charity, which provides support for homeless people. The band were filmed at the Thames by BBC Two's The Culture Show.
Goffey told fans at the busking session that whoever donated the most cash could have a free ticket to one of their London shows next week.
Earlier this year Moby performed as a busker at Sloane Square tube station, but didn't publicise his appearance.
