Sparro keen to 'cheer up' Winehouse
Published Monday, Apr 7 2008, 16:05 BST | By Simon Reynolds

Sparro, whose single 'Black and Gold' recently entered the top five on download sales alone, said a hip-hop collaboration might "cheer up" the troubled singer.
"It seems Amy’s been pretty down. I’d love to cheer her up with an old-school hip-hop album," Sparro said.
"Like me, Amy’s big into her hip-hop so I think it would be really cool to get her to do something with that, especially as she’s so big in the States now."
Sparro also revealed he may work with frequent Winehouse collaborator Mark Ronson.
"Mark has been really supportive. He was backing my single way back last year. I think it’s only a matter of time before we do something together but our individual schedules are pretty hectic right now."
