The Who's Roger Daltrey has criticised Glastonbury Festival for being too expensive.

Daltrey, who headlined the event with the veteran rockers last year, claimed he was not surprised by the lower number of registrations for the summer bash this year.

He suggested that the bad weather at last year's event and cost of tickets were the main reasons behind the fall in interest.

"I blame the weather and lineup," he told NME. "I take my hat off to those people who were there last year.

"I wouldn't have paid money to go and live like that for three days, to suffer like that. It's such an expensive festival too – so expensive."

Festival organiser Michael Eavis will re-open Glastonbury ticket registrations at 4pm today, because the event has not yet sold out.
