The Babyshambles frontman was given a 14-week jail sentence on Tuesday after breaching his probation order.
It means the rocker will have to postpone his solo show at the Royal Albert Hall and may not appear at this year's Glastonbury.
A message on the group page reads: "Okay, he's no angel. But is a 14 week prison sentence really justified for a self-harming poet? I think not.
"All comments will be passed on to the Crown Prosecution Service, Parlophone Records and any news websites that cover the story."
Messages from fans suggest that Doherty needs “therapy, not punishment”.
Doherty's bandmate Adam Ficek claimed Babyshambles would not be derailed by the recent turn of events for the vocalist.
