Faris Rotter from The Horrors has designed the new album cover for The Charlatans.
The veteran Manchester rockers revealed that they enlisted Rotter's services after visiting one of his exhibitions and being impressed by his drawings.
Singer Tim Burgess told NME: "I've seen him draw random stuff in his notebook and I also went to one of his exhibitions and bought a couple of his drawings. He's a good artist."
Originally the band hadn't planned to give a physical release to their new LP You Cross My Path, but said that it's popularity online forced them to take action.
"We didn't originally plan that it was going to come out in physical format at all, and we made the album thinking that it was going to come out for free," said Burgess.
"So I just told Faris I wanted it for myself. When we finally told him what it was for we needed it in just a matter of days! But he did it quickly and got it in on time."
Rotter, who has recently been romantically linked to Peaches Geldof, studied art and design at Central St Martin's before joining the goth rock band.
